Payments from a production company shooting a TV ad on Arrowtown’s main street last Friday went to a good cause.
After dressing up a row of buildings (pictured), including these historic miners’ cottages, to evoke a wintry theme, producers gave occupants of the seven premises $250 each for their cooperation.
In turn, the seven businesses passed the $1750 on to the Arrowtown Trust for restoration work on the cottage precinct.
The shoot, using mainly local cast and crew, was for American clothing retailer LL Bean.
