Free Queenstown talk by celebrated architect

A celebrated Australian architect is giving a free talk at Queenstown’s Icon conference room at the Heritage hotel at 6pm tomorrow (Friday).

International award-winning Sean Godsell is presenting the annual Ted McCoy lecture on behalf of the southern branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects.

The Melbourne-based architect was listed by English design magazine Wallpaper, in 2002, as one of 10 people destined to “change the way we live”.

Godsell has also been recognised by Time Magazine.

He’s lectured in the US, UK, China, Japan, India, France and New Zealand.

NZIA’s southern branch says Godsell “is going to speak about some of his work in a relaxed and conversational manner that engages with the audience”.

Last year’s Ted McCoy lecture was presented by local architect Fred van Brandenburg.
