Veteran St John volunteer Lynn Cain (right) has said goodbye to go in search of a new adventure.
Cain, 50, moves to Christchurch tomorrow for a new challenge after 13 years as a St John Wakatipu volunteer.
Cain helped with the local youth division of St John for 13 years and worked as a volunteer ambulance officer for 12 years. For the past 10, she’s been paid as the organisation’s area executive officer.
While unsure what she plans to do in Christchurch, Cain will remain involved in the youth arm of St John.
“I’m going to miss the people and the community here,” she says.
“I’ve never lived in a city before so now it’s time.”
St John area committee chairman Marty Black says: “She’ll be sadly missed. She’s been the face of St John Wakatipu for a long time.”
