Queenstown police are remaining tight-lipped on the name of an ex-All Black who was involved in a head-on collision.

The slow-speed crash happened on Hogans Gully Rd near Arrowtown when a 46-year-old woman locked her car’s brakes.

Constable Craig Longworth says the woman appeared to be exceeding a 35kmh speed limit and skidded across the road into the ex-All Blacks car.

The name of the 30-year-old ex-Black visiting the resort from Auckland was instantly recognisable, Longworth says.

No injuries and only minor damage to the vehicle was reported. Continuing police enquires will establish if the woman will face any charges.
