Destination Queenstown is shifting to bigger premises.
The marketing and promotions body’s team is packing up at the Malaghan Building on Stanley Street and shifting down the road to the Village Green Building.
DQ boss Graham Budd says the move will help meet the growth needs of his organisation, which has doubled in size since moving into the Malaghan Building 15 years ago.
“Fundamentally, we want a place that is inviting to both members and visitors, as well as an appropriate shop-front for Destination Queenstown.”
The team will move to the Village Green building this Thursday.
It has been been looking for a downtown location for some time.
Budd says a priority is keeping the 12-strong team together and he thought the new location was ideal.
With hosting opportunities increasing, the new building offered more facilities, including a boardroom.
“The move will really connect us to the hub of the town. It gives us more space, is really convenient and we are looking forward to it.”
The organisation isn’t relinquishing its old space.
The WinterFest team and accounts department will move to the old Malaghan address.
