Destination Queenstown is adding three experienced tourism professionals to its ranks.

Tracey Maclaren, latterly Real Journeys’ local operations boss, starts next month as convention bureau manager on a one-year maternity cover contract for Kylie Brittain.

Maclaren – whose Real Journeys role has been made redundant – was formerly conference and incentive manager for the company and has also been a DQ director.

Tourism New Zealand media advisor for China Christiana Zhu has been appointed a DQ trade marketing executive, starting October 29.

Zhu, who’s fluent in Manadarin and Chinese, is presenting tomorrow at a TNZ Chinese and halal tourism seminar in Queenstown.

Cardrona Alpine Resort marketing coordinator Charlie Curel is also joining DQ.

Curel starts next month as an online and market insights executive.
