New Zealand’s the first country this year to celebrate World Social Media Day - and Queenstowners will get help from online royalty.
At next month’s WinterFest, social media gurus Kyle Mulinder, known as Bare Kiwi, and Jason Charles Hill will offer their online advice.
Mountain Scene can exclusively reveal Emilie Ristevski, known as Hello Emilie, will take part.
The experts will cruise to Mt Nicholas followed by a bonfire, BBQ, and the inside scoop on how they conquered the cyber world. If you’re lacking followers then head along and listen up.
Social media king Mulinder says it’s “rad” NZ will be the first country to see in World Social Media Day.
“I don’t know whether you’d say honoured or anything, but a good old claim to fame for little NZ.”
The Kiwi, a former Queenstowner, has festival fever - attending religiously for the past four years.
“I’m very excited ‘cos it’s such a big thing - people don’t realise how big these things are.”
This is the first time he’s been part of a WinterFest event. Mulinder has more than 30,000 followers on Instagram and Facebook and is also live on Twitter, YouTube and Snapchat.
The event starts from St Omer Wharf on June 30 - tickets $25.
American Express Queenstown Winter Festival runs from June 24 to July 3.
