It’s the beginning of the end for the 2018 ski season.
But for those wanting to get in one last run, there’s still a little time.
Coronet Peak, initially set to shut up shop on Sunday, is extending its season by a week after a run of bluebird days and fresh snow.
Local snowboarder Taylor Paddington, left, was one of many snow bunnies making the most of the conditions after last week’s weather.
Ski area boss Nigel Kerr says the decision to extend was made due to recent snow sticking around.
“We’ll be able to walk out with our heads held high at the end of the season.”
It’ll close for the day on Monday, before re-opening until October 7.
At this stage, The Remarkables is set to close on the same day.
