Queenstown’s Conor Macfarlane was “absolutely gutted” he had to pull out of his competition runs at the world’s most infamous mountain biking event in the United States.
Macfarlane crashed out in a practise run at the invite only Red Bull Rampage, held in Utah last week.
On social media he says: “Saw a few stars upon landing yesterday [October 26] and felt fine afterward but woke up today with my balance not quite 100% and asore head.”
The following day he had to pull the pin.
He told his main goal was to come home unscathed, having crashed out of last year’s event too.
