A Queenstown community guide who recently returned to the beat after a brutal bashing on the job has been set upon again.
Alex Taylor, 33, suffered a suspected fractured back, broken cheekbone and severe bruising after a savage attack by drunken thugs in November.
The gutsy guide returned to patrol CBD streets three nights a week in December.
Last Saturday night he was bashed again – this time, allegedly punched in the head as he investigated a commotion between an intoxicated man and some Brazilians on Marine Parade. A knife was also found at the scene.
A 30-year-old Frankton man has been charged with disorderly behaviour likely to cause violence, two charges of common assault and possession of a knife in a public place.
