A boutique Queenstown-Lakes residential property management company has cleaned up its industry awards for the second year running.

Housemart won ‘best agency’ again at the 2013 Awards for Excellence in Residential Property Management announced in Auckland on Saturday night.

“Back-to-back category wins has never been done before, so it’s a remarkable achievement,” Housemart director Hayley Stevenson says.

Housemart also won the two other categories it entered.

Wanaka-based property manager Colleen Topping won residential property manager of the year and her Queenstown colleague Katrina Roberts was runner-up.

And Wanaka-based Andrea Bono was named support staff person of the year and her colleague Liz Jeffrey was named runner-up.

“We operate out of small offices in Queenstown and Wanaka yet have held our own with the big boys of property management,” Stevenson says.

“It’s quite a coup after just three years in business.

“We always strive to improve our business wherever we can and develop the excellent systems we already have in place to the very highest standards.”

Housemart won three awards last year and was also a category runner-up.

“Our focus is not to be the biggest agency in the country, but simply the best.”

The awards are run by the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand.
