A young girl has been knocked down by a car near Queenstown this morning (Thursday).
The seven-year-old school child was rushed to Frankton’s Lakes District Hospital with moderate to serious injuries.
Ambulance and police were called to the intersection of Hunter Road and Mooney Rd, Speargras Flat, at about 8.30am.
St John Ambulance regional manager Kelvin Perriman says: “A seven-year-old female was knocked over by a car.
“She’s been taken to hospital with moderate to serious injuries – mainly facial and leg injuries.
“She’s currently being assessed and might be transferred to Dunedin.”
