Three bubbly celebrities have arrived in Queenstown for a champagne party tomorrow (Wednesday) night.
Interior designer and women’s magazine columnist Sally Ridge, Sunday Star-Times gossip columnist Amanda Midgley and internet entrepreneur Seeby Woodhouse are in town as guests of Veuve Clicquot.
The champagne-maker is throwing a “Clicquot in the Snow” party at the new Hilton Hotel.
“It’s one of those international events you can’t say no to,” says Midgley, as she warmed up on glass of a bubbles today.
Fortunately for the Auckland-based trio, the event coincides with the Queenstown Winter Festival.
Ridge says she’s “so excited” because she’s never been to WinterFest before, Midgley missed the last few after taking time out to have a toddler, and Woodhouse recalls only experiencing the event for half a day.
“I’m looking forward to socialising with everyone else who’s come down, and not in our home town,” Midgley says.
This afternoon the threesome was off to taste pinot noir at Lake Hayes’ Amisfield Winery.
