Car-nival time in Frankton

These girls are revved up for a car-nival.

Six-year-old Bethany Argyle (left) and sister Anna, four, can’t wait for the inaugural Remarkables Carnival and car show inspired by their dad and car club member Karl Argyle.

The joint event is at Frankton’s Remarkables Primary from 11am till 2pm this Saturday. It’s being organised by the Queenstown Car Club and the school’s parents association.

It features car and motorbike owners showing off their machines.

An array of family attractions will include a bouncy castle, food and white elephant stalls, cooking demonstrations and pony rides.

Entry is by gold coin – car and motorbike owners pay $5. Proceeds go to school playground extensions.
