Frankton’s Hannah Crisp and Suzanne Vale are bringing restaurant-quality food to peoples’ living rooms with a new business venture.
The owners of gourmet deli Crisp & Vale have created a range of ready-made, take-home meals to sell from their Terrace Junction store.
Their concept is believed to be a first for the resort and offers an alternative to fast food outlets.
“It’s not a takeaway – it’s home cooking at its finest,” Vale says.
The meals are cooked by Crisp, the former head chef of Arrowtown’s The Postmasters House restaurant and who’s also worked for legendary British chef Rick Stein.
The pair hope to eventually expand the concept to sell wholesale for catering purposes.
