Long-time Queenstown dentist John Molloy is on the move – after 32 years in The Mall.

Molloy, pictured with his partner and practice manager Lucy Snelgrove, is shifting to 44 Beach Street on the first floor of the new Skyline building.

While sitting in the dental chair, patients will enjoy spectacular sights of Queenstown Bay and the Remarkables – they can also watch paragliders soaring overhead through a well-positioned skylight.

“There can’t be too many views as good as that anywhere in the world while getting your teeth seen to,” Molloy says.

The new surgery, opening on Monday, was designed by Molloy and Snelgrove and also features a spacious, modern waiting room, lab and sterilisation bay.

“The people at Skyline have been very helpful in making this all happen and the subcontractors have done a terrific job,” Molloy says. “I must be about the longest-standing tenant in The Mall but when the chance to move to this beautiful new building came up it was hard to resist.

“The move is also reducing our costs, not increasing them, so our fees won’t be affected.”
