Queenstown’s first boutique hotel is on the market.
North Island-based Salina and Barry Walters are selling their Distinction Nugget Point Resort Spa at Arthurs Point, along with their boutique hotel in Abel Tasman National Park near Nelson and another in the Marlborough Sounds.
Nugget Point, which opened in 1987, was bought by the couple in 2002 for about $6 million. Southland-based Distinction Hotel Group took over managing it four years ago.
The 8043sq m property includes 40 unit-titled five-star rooms and other facilities including a health spa, gymnasium and tennis and squash courts. It also boasts an additional 11,840sq m of tourism-zoned development.
