Queenstowners Al Cooper (right) and John Jones are ready to muscle in on Telecom territory.

The pair have bought the franchise rights to operate as Digital Mobile – which boasts Telecom rival Vodafone as corporate partner – in the Wakatipu and Southland.

Cooper, who’s worked for both Vodafone and Telecom, and Jones, who owns PJ’s Fish and Chips in Queenstown, will be getting around resort businesses offering IT and communications services and solutions.

Cooper: “We’re looking to offer cheaper solutions. The road map for Vodafone in the next decade is exciting.”
