There’s a change at the top of Queenstown regulatory quango Lakes Environmental.
Queenstown Lakes District Council has today announced that inaugural LE chairman Tony Hill wants to step down and is to be replaced by current director Anne Urlwin.
Hill, who’s chaired LE since its inception four years ago, remains on the board.
Wanaka resident and chartered accountant Urlwin has a solid governance track record and is currently on the boards of Meridian Energy, New Zealand Cricket and Naylor Love, as well as chairing the NZ Blood Service.
LE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of QLDC, handles a myriad of regulatory functions such as building and resource consents, food and liquor licensing, parking enforcement and dog control.
