Ex-Luciano’s restaurant owner Davey McKenzie is excited about his new addition to the Queenstown culinary experience.
McKenzie, pictured with 21-month-old daughter Ivy (left) and business partner and chef Mike McPhedran with his 10-month-old Lola, opened the appropriately-named Ivy and Lola’s Kitchen and Restaurant at Steamer Wharf last Friday night.
McKenzie, who also has Steamer Wharf bar Atlas, says Ivy and Lola’s will be open 10am to 10pm, doing breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The new venue has capacity for 55 inside and 55 outside.
“It’s pretty much all locally-sourced on the menu – we’re doing Cecil Peak lamb. Everything we can get from local producers, we will.”
