Famous Australian entrepreneur Dick Smith is coming to Queenstown later this year to talk about “big-picture issues”.
Smith, founder of the Kiwi and Aussie retail stores Dick Smith Electronics, Dick Smith Foods, Australian Geographic and prolific aviator, tops a line-up that includes Young New Zealander of the Year Sam Johnson, who organised the Student Army in Christchurch after the earthquakes, and journalist Rod Oram during the September 14 talk.
“They’ll be talking about some of the big-picture issues that we’re facing,” Tomorrow’s Business talk organiser Sam Martin says.
Smith will also talk about what drives him as a leading entrepreneur and what he sees as the challenges and opportunities for the future.
The event will be held at City Impact Church. Earlybird tickets, available from the Tomorrow’s Business website or the Queenstown Chamber of Commerce, are $105.
Proceeds will go towards the Queenstown Lakes district’s community engagement initiative Shaping Our Future.
