Queenstown architectural designer Graeme Roebeck has jointly won a design competition with this plan
for Invercargill’s new $4 million Seventh Day Adventist Church.

His joint-venture entry with Invercargill architect Neil McDowell beat off five other contenders and features a cantilevered floor over a water feature for most of its length. The church incorporates a community wellness centre, school, library and offices and features biblical references throughout. Roebeck says the building’s been modelled in 3D down to the pews.
