Long-time Singaporean Queenstown investor Brian Chang (centre) introduced a business colleague and Indonesian political heavyweight to the resort last week.
Dr Ir Fadel Muhammad (right) and his wife Hana Fadel joined Chang on the Earnslaw’s 100th birthday re-enactment cruise last week.
Muhammad is a former Indonesian provincial governor and Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
His appointment with Prime Minister John Key during Key’s visit last week – to discuss issues like geothermal technology – was cancelled due to the PM’s late arrival.
Chang, meanwhile, owns a large home at Jack’s Point and co-owns Walter Peak Resort.
