Queenstown’s first fast-tracked subdivision has got the final go-ahead.
Ground works are set to begin at Bridesdale Farm - a 134-home, government-approved special housing area bordering Lake Hayes Estate - after council-appointed commissioners issued their final decision this week.
On behalf of developers Bridesdale Farm Developments Ltd, lawyer Warwick Goldsmith says it’s “pleasing” to have the final decision.
Changes to the subdivision’s consent conditions since the commissioners’ interim decision in January involved “tidying up various loose ends”, he says.
New conditions include a requirement to build a sealed, public road down to the Kawarau River and the creation of a residents’ society
