The Queenstown bakery has been doing thousands of extra loaves to stock supermarket and dairy supplies hampered by snow.

The Bakery Queenstown manager Jason Danielson tells scene.co.nz his staff have been baking bread for two days solid to supply the downtown Alpine Supermarket, Fresh Choice and the Night and Day dairies in Queenstown and Arrowtown.

“They’re just taking what we’ve got. We’ve done 1000 extra loaves a day. We just keep baking – we’re baking as quick as we can.”
