A family catch-up has drawn reality show star Ceri McVinnie to Queenstown.
McVinnie, a viewer favourite on TV3’s recent show The Bachelor, is pictured (second right) with sister Amelia, and Queenstown hosts Brazz owners Pat and Bruce Jefford.
McVinnie’s parents Pete and Donna have been family friends of the Jeffords for almost 25 years.
They met while Pete was captaining an Air New Zealand jet from Singapore to Auckland.
Pat: “When Bruce realised there were only two engines, not four, he was getting off.”
Pat says they’ve known Ceri since she was about one and Amelia was about three.
Ceri, who did her first bungy jump last weekend, was named Miss Tourism International at last year’s Miss World New Zealand contest.
She first entered beauty contests to recover her self-esteem following an abusive relationship.
