Parents and kids hitting the slopes at Coronet Peak this winter are in for a series of family-friendly treats.
The skifield is upgrading its fully-licensed Skiwiland Early Learning Centre to cater for babies aged from three months and is boosting numbers of group lessons for youths aged six to 17.
It’s also doubling the size of its dedicated kids’ slope next to the crèche area – and introducing a 24-metre magic carpet specially-designed for very young beginners.
“[The new lift’s] super user-friendly for little kids as the base of the new lift will be just metres away from the crèche and not make any long slog with gear in arms up to the lift necessary,” says ski area manager Hamish McCrostie.
A new children’s snowsports boss has also been appointed.
