Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park’s doors have officially opened.
The ribbon was cut for the 182-room hotel last Thursday.
General manager Mathew Simister says the hotel’s ‘‘an investment in Queenstown’s thriving community’’ and its opening is perfect timing for the summer holidays, and for lockdown-fatigued Aucklanders who were finally able to leave the City of Sails from Wednesday.
Developed and owned by QLong Investments Ltd and operated by IHG Hotels & Resorts, the new hotel created over 100 jobs during its two-year construction, and will provide over 50 jobs for locals.
The hotel includes an open lobby with a fireplace, Giants restaurant and bar, a media lounge, seating areas and an E-Bar, with plug-in power, Wi-Fi and wireless printing.
There are also four flexible meeting rooms, catering for small meetings of up to 30 people, or up to 200 people theatre-style.
To celebrate the opening, and domestic border restrictions easing, Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park is offering, subject to availability, the second night free for stays from now till December 28.
