'An honour': Vincent Macquet

Sofitel Queenstown is the only New Zealand entry in influential Travel + Leisure magazine’s list of the world’s 500 best hotels.

The five-star hotel is also ranked in the magazine’s ‘Top City Hotels’ category for NZ, Australia and the South Pacific, coming in at number six.

The American magazine’s annual ‘World’s Best Awards’ survey is voted on by its readers.

Sofitel won the ‘World’s Best Hotel Spa’ accolade in last year’s awards.

New Sofitel Queenstown general manager Vincent Macquet says it’s great to have the hotel again acknowledged by the magazine and world travellers.

“This honour is a testament to how well our hotel services readers and luxury travellers.”
