An annual Queenstown adventure race has been recognised among New Zealand’s best.
The Motatapu mountain bike/off-road marathon won the Best Established Event category at the annual New Zealand Association of Event Professionals event industry awards, presented in Christchurch on Monday.
Last year it was runner-up in that category, after winning the Best Marketing of an Event award in 2008.
This year’s sixth Motatapu, held between Wanaka and Arrowtown, attracted about 3500 mountain bikers and runners.
