Lindon Puffin free gig
KIWI muso Lindon Puffin returns to Queenstown this weekend.

The town favourite brings his manic rockabilly, folk and punk-inspired stylings to Dux de Lux on Saturday.

The gig is the first on his summer tour to promote new album Hope Holiday.

This time around he’s joined on stage by multi-instrumentalist Stefan James, beefing up Puffin’s man-alone sound with searing electric guitar and Beatle-esque harmonies.

Puffin says: “I’ve performed many times in both Queenstown and Arrowtown over the past 10 years and built up a good following.

“It’s been 18 months since I’ve performed locally, having been away in Auckland producing the new album.”

Hard-working tourer Puffin has played up to 100 gigs a year in the past, including performances at Blue Door in Arrowtown, Revolver and the Dux.

His new album, on shelves Monday, has already received rave reviews.

He will be supported by Dunedin songstress Nadia Reid at the free gig.
