Queenstown dad-to-be Adrian Jones brushes up on his bathtub skills with three-month-old tot Leo Haines and Plunket’s Cath Hudson.

Jones and his wife Nicky are two of many soon-to-be parents in the Wakatipu who’ve signed up for the free Your New Baby three-week course organised by Queenstown Plunket. Jones, whose first child is due in May, has practised nappy changing, bathing Leo and has learned other helpful tips.

“It’s been excellent, it’s so much useful information that a new father and mother should know,” he says.

The course, which runs back-to-back each month, complements ante-natal classes and has been a success since it began several weeks ago, organiser Hudson says.

She’s still taking names for the next group, which begins next Wednesday from 7-9pm.
