These talented Wakatipu High girls have mixed their artistic talent and passion for helping others to create joy for youngsters.

Pictured (from left) are Gersha Munkundan, Danielle Price, Jessica Addie, Jorjia Birch, Storm Roberts, Margaret Palma, Helena Burt, Izzy Berliner, Hiria Tuhura, Doris Holzel, Holly Lockley and Sadie Miles with their two finished murals to be displayed at Queenstown Plunket.

Earlier this year the Plunket team approached the girls to create a “bright and lively” mural for the centre’s play area. The artworks portray childhood characters like Barney the Dinosaur, Thomas the Tank Engine and Disney characters.

Art teacher Leslie Koehn and youth worker Fi Sawers organised the mural and say they’re incredibly proud of the girls’ hard work.
