Visiting poker professional Bryan Huang can’t lose when he’s in Queenstown.

The number-one player in Singapore, here for the lucrative New Zealand Poker Tour’s Queenstown leg at SkyCity’s casino says he doesn’t mind if he gets knocked out early.

“There’s so much to do here so it’s not a problem.”

Playing a promotional game up Coronet Peak yesterday, the 27-year-old adds: “I’m here more for the place as a destination than poker itself – that’s just a bonus.”

Huang, who’s won $2 million playing cards, is here with his wife and says Queenstown along with tropical Cebu in the Phillipines are his favourite destinations on tour.
