Queenstown’s hospital-level aged care home has a new operator.
Southern District Health Board has announced that Bupa Care Services will run the 36-bed Lake Wakatipu Home and Hospital on June 10.
The move comes after existing providers John and Heather Rogers filed a notice of exit from their contract in March.
The Rogers, Bupa and the DHB are currently working together to ensure a seamless transition for residents and their families, a DHB statement says.
“As one of New Zealand’s largest aged care providers, Bupa is well-placed to manage Lake Wakatipu Home and Hospital. The DHB is confident residents will continue to receive high-quality care that is tailored to their needs.”
