Family: Partner Angela, son James, 30, who lives in Queenstown as a builder. Other two sons Josh, 26, is a golf professional in Australia and Luke, 30, is marketing manager for Vodafone in Doha ,Qatar

Years in the Wakatipu: 13

Main claim to fame in the resort: Not being involved in local politics. Introducing Video Ezy to the town and the region. Stores also in Cromwell, Wanaka,Alexandra and Arrowtown

Main reason for standing: As a fresh face with no hidden agendas I’m committed to making a difference in how council is run particularly from a financial position. Council needs to be run like a business not a monopoly

Single biggest issue of interest: As a ratepayer myself I see the biggest issue is being able to maintain a steady rates charge but at the same time ensuring that council account for all the revenues and expenditure in a planned and efficient way to improve the district we live in

Biggest gaffe: Not coming to Queenstown quickly enough. It just seemed so far from Christchurch
