I just want to say that as a relative newcomer to Arrowtown (I moved here 15 years ago), I am glad and grateful that locals 20 years ago didn't think like Peter Roberts. If they had , there would be no house here for me to live in and I would have had to go somewhere else.
I loved Arrowtown then and I love it now and I will love it in years to come!
