Fat Freddy’s Drop will headline a stellar line-up at this year’s Summer Winery Tour hitting Queenstown in February.

The Wellington-based dub, reggae, soul and RnB act is joined by Kiwi songbirds Anika Moa, Boh Runga and Hollie Smith, plus The Adults for the gig. In the Wakatipu, they’ll be at a new venue on the tour, Gibbston’s Waitiri Creek boutique winery.

Solo artists Moa, Runga and Smith are touring together for the first time, performing 17 shows in 16 spectacular venues for the tour’s seventh year. The Adults features Shihad frontman Jon Toogood, Fur Patrol singer and guitarist Julia Deans and Dimmer’s Shayne Carter.

Fat Freddy’s Chris Faiumu, aka DJ Fitchie, says: “We can’t wait for the tour.

“Freddy’s will be celebrating the release of our new album Blackbird and I’m sure the audiences will enjoy the energy in our performance. And this year’s line-up is fantastic – edgy and dynamic.

“It’s a great way to kick off the year.”

Tickets for the February 19 gig are $75 – or $65 for those who buy early between November 5 and November 30.
