Queenstown Arts Centre to Expand With New Role!
The Queenstown Arts Society has successfully run the Queenstown Arts Centre from the old school house for over 20 years. Run mainly by volunteers, the Arts Centre provides the region’s “gateway” for artists and art lovers who are passionate about the visual arts and arts education.
Business Development and Grants Co-ordinator
– Part time Role:
QAC is supported by QLDC, a number of committed philanthropists and the Queenstown community. It also runs a number of fundraising activities and events.
We are now looking for someone to fill the role of Business Development & Grants Co-ordinator for the Arts Centre to drive up community engagement, eventually becoming self-funding.
This role will report to the Queenstown Arts Centre Committee.
This is a part-time contract position, of 10-12 hours per week with increased hours around specific events. The applicant will need to be flexible to meet with stakeholders as required and work from both the Arts Centre and your own home.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have prior experience in initiating, coordinating, supporting, and facilitating events. Experience with grants applications will be vital.
Your relationship building skills and ability to quickly form strong professional relationships will be imperative. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess a high level of organisational skills, enthusiasm, energy and a passion for the arts!
