Counting down: Preview Summer Fashion Show organiser Deborah Coburn, left, and DEVàL Boutique owner Debbie Lawson

Tickets are on sale for Queenstown’s second Preview Summer Fashion Show fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House charity, which provides free accommodation for families of kids overnighting in hospitals around New Zealand.

Organised again by Deborah Coburn, the show — at Soda restaurant on October 13 — features the latest fashions from Wānaka’s
DEVàL Boutique and Queenstown’s shoe store Issimo and menswear store Sergio’s.

‘‘It’s a night of fundraising, fun and fashion,’’ Coburn says.

There’ll also be a live auction called by award-winning Bayleys auctioneer Conor Patton, who’ll also take phone bids, and silent auctions.

‘‘We’re getting some very high-value auction items,’’ Coburn says.

Naming sponsor Crew Stylists will provide make-up and hair styling for the models, and there’ll be entertainment from Latin Soul Dance.

In 2021, the first Preview raised $36,000 for Ronald McDonald House, which last year provided 35,004 nights of accommodation at its facilities.

This year’s target is $45,000.

Tickets — limited to 120 — are $175 a head or $1050 for a table of six.

The price, Coburn says, includes ‘‘a very generous amount of food and drinks’’, and a goodie bag.

‘‘Living in Queenstown,’’ she adds, ‘‘you often don’t see lots of locals, and I love where you can come together as a community and just see people you haven’t seen for months and some times years.’’

A former hair and make-up business owner, Coburn’s organised 20-plus fashion shows since the ’90s.
