LEADING climatologists have booked a conference in Queenstown for early 2014.
About 400 international scientists are expected to attend the wordy fifth General Assembly of Stratospheric Processes And their Role in Climate (SPARC).
Queenstown: Climate conference comes to resort
One of the core projects in the World Climate Research Programme, SPARC coordinates worldwide research on the stratosphere, the atmospheric layer between 15 to 50km altitudes.
The conference was Destination Queenstown’s first bid in conjunction with Tourism New Zealand’s Conference Assistance Programme (CAP).
DQ’s Conference and Incentive manager Kylie Brittain says: “We found the process to be very professional and the resulting win helps us reinforce our ability to host large events to the Business Events Sector, which is a high priority target market for us.”
The conference will be held from January 12-17, 2014, at the Millennium and Copthorne hotels.
Its four key topics are climate variability and change, atmospheric chemistry and aerosols, ozone, and polar processes.

Nothing like a junket in Queenstown
For sure these people wouldn't want to meet up in Eketahuna. The climate change fraud has been well and truly exposed. Here's what happens when you let zealots run amok. http://nzwindfarms.wordpress.com/
