The Giants, playing their second Southland league game this season after three years out of action, lost 44-30.
“I think we let them off the hook,” says Giants coach Bou Patelesio.
“We committed more errors near the end and strayed from the game plan.”
The Giants play Bluff-Cooks in Invercargill this Sunday.
