Simon Hayes, Michael Scott and Vanessa van Uden
As we count down to the 2010 local government elections, Mountain Scene speaks to each Queenstown Lakes District mayoral candidate about important issues the Wakatipu faces. In the second of the weekly web videos, we get to know a bit more about Simon Hayes, Michael Scott and Vanessa van Uden before putting tougher questions to them in the coming weeks.

If you want to ask the mayoral hopefuls a question, email ed@scene.co.nz and we’ll put it to them.

Your say

-- Scott the only real choice
Hayes the Aussie is a real estate agent that will continue to work as a agent if he get voted in can't say there's not conflict of interest there...future with hayes lots more development to the ones that list with him(also currently on holiday WTF)

Van Helen Clark doesn't look anything like her picture's fake persona- has spent a load on campaigning an has stated she would pack her bags and leave Queenstown if she doesn't win...

Scott unlike the above is a real change as he hasn't been in the council before is a real hard working local doesn't plan to leaving as this is his home he has no conflict of interest an most of all he's a bloody nice guy....
