REFLECTING on the busy airport terminal, a local this week states: “It’s like an international airport but without the duty free.” 


CONSIDERING Queenstown’s almost 150 years old, it’s noteworthy that the oldest CBD pub, Chico’s, is only 24 years old – while the next oldest watering holes, Red Rock and Lone Star Cafe, are less than 20 years old. 


BEN Chapman might need a new nickname. He’s known as Benzone due to his former job marketing skydiving company Nzone but a more generic moniker might be more appropriate now he’s trade manager for Destination Queenstown. 


A COUPLE of celebrities spotted recently in town – Jason Dancing with the Stars Gunn, and Auckland socialite Aja Rock, who was married in Arrowtown six months ago.
