All Whites coach Ricki Herbert put soccer starlets through their paces in Queenstown today.
New Zealand’s World Cup 2010 boss took to the training field at Jack’s Point to show 77 youngsters from around the country how it’s done.
Herbert, who is also the coach of Wellington Phoenix, paid a flying visit to the resort to oversee this year’s intake for his 82 Football Academy, which offers a four-day intensive course for kids aged nine to 14.
“The players were thrilled at getting to work with someone as high profile as Ricki,” academy coach Chris Acott says.
“He took training for much of the day and was impressed with what he saw.”
