Famous friends: American ski racers David Chodounsky (left), Charles Christianson and top Kiwi Ben Griffin at Sofia Lazor’s show and tell
Not many six-year-old Queenstown students get to take international skiing stars to school for a show and tell.

Sofia Lazor dragged top Kiwi ski racer Ben Griffin, 23, plus 26-year-old United States rivals David Chodounsky and Charles Christianson into her classroom at St Joseph’s primary on Monday.

Sofia’s father James is Snow Sport New Zealand’s alpine manager.

The three snow athletes fielded questions from curious youngsters about ski racing and were also quizzed about who is the best on the slopes.

“To give you a fair answer, I’ve probably won the most races,” Chodounsky jokes.

The American lads are heading home this weekend after racing in the NZ National Alpine Championships giant slalom and slalom on Tuesday and yesterday.

Griffin will also chase the winter to the Northern Hemisphere after the Australia New Zealand Cup Finals at Mt Hutt starting on September 7.
